The latest entry in Nintendo’s new Dragon Quest game, Dragon Quest 11, has gotten some new details released about it. In this case, the Dragon Quest 11 details focus mainly on combat, and also on differences between the game’s versions. These versions will be playable on the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and the Nintendo 3DS.
When it comes to the combat, the combat in both will be different. In the 3DS version, combat in Dragon Quest 11 will have a two-dimensional mode with the characters pixellated.
This is unlike the Nintendo Switch version, where characters will remain in 3D and have a full range of movement around the battle area.
These Dragon Quest 11 details, so far, don’t seem to be too different from Nintendo’s remakes of Dragon Quest 7 and Dragon Quest 8, which released (or rather, re-released) last year.
While you probably won’t be seeing too many differences between then and now, you might want to take into account which version you want to buy, whether it’s the Switch version or the 3DS version.
The official release date hasn’t been revealed, but we can likely expect more Dragon Quest 11 details at some point in the future, before the game releases.
We’ve already seen how the game looks on both platforms, and even on the less-powerful 3DS the game looks amazing, being filled with vibrant colors and environments filled with Dragon Quest monsters.
Regardless of all of the versions we’ll be choosing from when the game comes out, it’s likely going to look good whatever you decide to play it on as you travel the world to save it from a threat.
In the meantime, we’ll have to keep waiting for Dragon Quest 11 details to see what exactly Square Enix is going to be putting in the game, and whenever it releases on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS later this year.
