Assassin’s Creed Television Series Might be in Production on Netflix

A Ubisoft executive has recently stated that Assassin’s Creed television series might be under production on Netflix, However, Ubisoft has not yet confirmed any details regarding the topic.

Recently in a thread on Reddit, Assassin’s Creed Head of Content Ymar Azaiza revealed that, Ubisoft is planning to produce a television series set in the Assassin’s Creed universe. He said nothing further regarding the topic except

“We will take our time to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of,”

It is also speculated that the CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot has been in contact with Netflix in the previous year.

All of these reports have raised many questions in our mind such as when will the series air? Will the series use an already established story from the franchise? Or will it be making an original one?

The Assassin’s Creed movie was not amazing as such, since it tried to do too much and rushed things a bit. It is however, difficult to compress 20-30 hours of gameplay into a 2-3 hour movie.

We would say it was a much better video game movie as compared to some other franchises like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, World of Warcraft etc. Those were a disaster.

If these speculations have some truth to them it will be exciting to see an Assassin’s Creed television series done by Netflix since they have done a great job on Daredevil and some other comic series.

With Assassin’s Creed latest project Empire igniting fires all over the internet, Ubisoft has got some nerve sparking another rumour about a Television series.

We feel that Ubisoft is betting all of its reputation on its recent project and 2017 is going to be a big year for their company.

If these rumors are true then we won’t only be getting a much anticipated Assassin’s Creed Empire, we will also be getting a Assassin’s Creed television series. Let us hope Ubisoft confirms these rumours soon and provides further details about it.
