Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – remake of the second chapter of the series – is not away from its release, and Nintendo has provided some information on the versions that will be purchasable at launch.
If you just want to play the game, you can purchase the Standard Edition for $40. Otherwise you can buy the Limited Edition for $60, getting the following content: the game, a hardcover artbook, an audio CD, pin sets, a reversible cover, and two new Amiibos: Alm and Celica.
Alm and Celica Amiibos, when used, will unlock their own dungeons, but players will be able to use them also in the game’s battles. Furthermore, Nintendo has stated that all Amiibos of the series will be compatible with Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
Fire Emblem Echoes, just like Gaiden, tells the story of two friends named Alm and Celica, who find themselves thrust into a chaotic war between the nations of Rigel and Zofia.
In the game, players will command two different armies, each one made of various characters including mages, clerics, archers, soldiers, and regular villagers. The game will also include a Casual Mode in which your characters don’t die if they’re beaten in battle.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will be released on April 20th in Japan, and will release worldwide on May 19, 2017, for Nintendo 3DS only.
