In GWENT Challenger Tournament 4 players selected from the community will play against professional players namely: Trump (Jeffrey Shih), Lifecoach (Adrian Koy), Noxious (Kacem Khilaji), and ppd (Peter Dager). The participants will play for a total prize pool of $100,000. According to Paweł Burza, Community Manager, CD PROJEKT RED:
It’s a real privilege to observe how active GWENT players are in the realm of competitive gaming. Community-powered tournaments like The Passiflora Championship, The Seven Cats Brawl or The Gwentlemen’s Open are a source of inspiration for the entire team, and we definitely want this part of GWENT to grow.
CD Projekt Red co-founder added that GWENT was created because The Witcher community wanted it and now more and more players want to play the game.

We can confirm cross-play between Xbox One and PC — all other options are being discussed.
Also, according to the developers, GWENT was more successful than what they imagined. CD Projekt RED created this mini-game for The Witcher 3 but never anticipated the large amount of players who’ll be interested in it. It had surely been a great surprise when fans wrote countless messages, requesting GWENT game.
GWENT The Witcher Card Game will launch for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but no specific release date has been announced.
