According to a new report, Nintendo plans to double the Nintendo Switch production for the company’s next fiscal year.
The report comes from The Wall Street Journal which suggests that Nintendo plans to alter its Nintendo Switch production plans for its next fiscal year which ends in March 2018.
This change in plans for the production of Nintendo Switch were made following the high demand for the console as it is already the best selling console for Nintendo in the US. This change in production plans will see 16 million Nintendo Switch units produced instead of 8 million units.
According to the report, Nintendo estimates that it can sell 10 million units in the next fiscal year and by the end of this month Nintendo expects 2.5 million units sold for Nintendo Switch. As of yet, the console has sold over 1.5 million units worldwide.
However, it is important to note that this is not officially confirmed by Nintendo so take it as a grain of salt.
