Tekken 7 Will Feature Two More Guest Characters From Other Games

Tekken 7 is a few months away from launch for PC and consoles and fans of the series are excited about the game. Tekken 7 will feature Akuma from the Street Fighter series and it seems that Bandai Namco will introduce a couple of more guest characters from other games through DLC.

Bandai Namco has confirmed that two new guest characters will be introduced to Tekken 7 through DLC. Also, the studio has provided an outline for the inclusions in the post-launch content.

The first batch, to be released this Summer 2017, will provide a brand-new game mode and more than 50 new costumes. The second and third batches of content, to be released respectively this Winter 2017 and next Spring 2018, will both feature one exclusive playable guest character from other videogames’ licenses with, each time, a special stage and special costumes for these guest characters. This 3 post launch pieces of content will be purchasable individually but will also be available through the Season Pass that will grant to each buyer 35 exclusive metallic costumes.

All three batches of DLCs are part of the game’s season pass so if you get the season pass you will not only get 35 exclusive metallic costumes but also all the post-launch DLC.

Akuma is a street Fighter character that will be part of the Tekken 7 story. According to Producer Katsuhiro Harada, Akuma is also a part of the Mashima conflict, and he won’t be a guest character in the game.

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Tekken 7 will not feature any kind of Cross-Play support and this is because of the first party policies of the consoles.

Tekken 7 is a fighting video game in development at Bandai Namco and is scheduled to launch on Jue 2, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
