Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last Of Us and Uncharted, has shown off some Uncharted: The Lost Legacy concept art, taking us into the jungles of India and the decaying ruins in it. The expansion will also fill the “mercenaries” role by taking place in the middle of a civil war.
We’ve already seen the urban environments that will be used in the expansion. The announcement trailer for the expansion took place in a city, though we don’t know its specific identity.
While the dark, crumbling streets and the city’s burning skyline were already striking images, we can only imagine what the jungles will look like in terms of landscape.
We can likely expect landscapes similar to other wilderness scenes in the Uncharted games, like the jungles of Madagascar or the African savannah. Either way, the Uncharted: The Lost Legacy concept art definitely does its best to paint a picture for us.
The concept art apparently got leaked from Game Informer, which is going to be covering the expansion in next month’s issue.
From what we can see in the concept art, Chloe and Nadine will be traveling to long-forgotten temples and ruins in the Indian jungle in their efforts to retrieve the Tusk of Ganesh.
While there, they’ll likely have to fight their way past the army of rebels or mercenaries led by the mercenary Asev, and whatever puzzles the temple has inside.
The Tusk won’t be the only part of the plot, either; Chloe and Nadine’s differing philosophies of self-preservation and self-sacrifice will also cause conflict between them over the game, and will likely shape how the story comes out in some way.
