The base model starts at $169 and the price goes up to $249 for the top of the series 6 core version. The top of the line model is the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X.

The top of the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X features 6 cores and 12 threads. It has a base clock of 3.6 GHz and a boost clock of 4.0 GHz. This CPU has a TDP of 95W and will be competing against the Intel Core i5 7600K.

The Ryzen 5 1500X is the fastest 4-core CPU that AMD has to offer in the AMD Ryzen 5 series. The CPU features 4 cores and 8 threads and has a base clock of 3.5 GHz and 3.7 GHz boost clock.
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X vs Core i5 7600K Official Benchmarks
According to the official numbers from AMD the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X performs 69% better than the core i5 7600K when it comes to the Cinebench benchmark. This is a good indication of the performance of the CPU but you should still wait for reviews before getting excited.
