Team Liquid has confirmed that Adrian “Adrian” Ma will be part of the starting lineup for this weekend’s round of competitive League of Legends.
Taking to Twitter, team owner Steve “Liquid112” Arhancet confirmed that Matt “Matt” Elento will be moving to a coaching position to work closely with the roster. Adrian “Adrian” Ma will retain the role of support in the starting lineup of Team Liquid for the remaining two weeks of the North American League Championship Series (NA LCS).
We will be starting @AdrianMaLOL this weekend for LCS. Matt will be positional coaching / sub and working closely with the team.

The roster will face Team Dignitas and Phoenix1 this weekend, where the latter is expected to give Liquid trouble. Phoenix1 is currently positioned at third place in the official team standings, having defeated FlyQuest and Echo Fox just last week with confidence.
Despite picking up Adrian earlier this month as part of a series of bold mid-season roster changes, the management chose to have Matt retain his supporting position last week. The move birthed rumors that perhaps Adrian was being saved for the Summer Split. Today’s announcement dispels the notion. We can only assume that Adrian was using the time to settle into his new home.
Team Liquid has gone through a lot of work to make sure it somehow escapes from the clutches of relegation. Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin moved from his signature bottom-lane to perform duties in mid-lane. Veteran Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng was signed up as a temporary new member of Team Liquid until the end of the Spring Split. Adrian too was brought in to replace a struggling support position.
Team Liquid currently sits at the bottom of the standings and must make the most of an uphill battle in the remaining two weeks of competitive League of Legends. That being said, it managed to improve its standings by climbing one rung over Team Envy. Nonetheless, the battle is far from over. The new roster must make sure to win every match it gets from hereon.
