Publishing giant Activision Blizzard has been recognized by Fortune as one of the “100 Best Companies To Work For” this year.
This is the third straight year in a row that the company has been placed in the illustrious list. The name behind several great franchises such as Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Destiny, was placed at number 77 last year. Now, it has improved its standing by coming at number 66.
“At Activision Blizzard, we hire the world’s best talent to build new worlds,” said CEO Bobby Kotick in a statement. “Our mission to inspire play, competition and community connects hundreds of millions of people, and creating a great place to work is the key to serving them well.”
The “100 Best Companies To Work For” list is derived annually by Fortune with the help of research firm Great Place to Work. It’s reportedly the “most extensive employee survey in corporate America,” featuring feedback from more than 232,000 workers at select companies with more than 1,000 employees.
On that note, Activision Blizzard houses more than 9,400 employees that span across multiple video game franchises. According to the report, over 95 percent of employees stated that they are content with their work environment and would gladly refer Activision Blizzard to their friends. A vast majority cited that the company is a “friendly, fun, and welcoming workplace where they can be themselves”.

Activision Blizzard is currently working on a number of exciting projects, including Destiny II: Forge of Hope which was rumored last month for a release later this year. The company is also preparing to inaugurate the Overwatch League in the third quarter, which would be a major step for the game in taking hold of a major chunk of the esports pie. In addition, another major Call of Duty game is set to hit shelves in fall.
