New Mass Effect Andromeda Videos Show Exploration, Multiplayer Footage
With Mass Effect Andromeda coming out in the next few weeks, BioWare has released a few new Mass Effect Andromeda videos that show off exploration on three of the planet’s explorable “golden worlds”. We also get to see some multiplayer footage from the game’s alpha, along with customization options for characters in it.
The three planets we explore in the first of the new Mass Effect Andromeda videos are the worlds of Voeld, Kadara, and Eos. All of these are planets originally designated for colonization.
As Pathfinder, it’s Ryder’s job to make sure these worlds are safe for more colonists to arrive on, and that means finding minerals, increasing habitability, and removing hostile threats.
Ryder will end up fighting huge animals, gigantic robots left over from the Remnants civilization, and more as they attempt to create a new home for the Milky Way colonists.
When it comes to multiplayer, what we see in the video is fairly promising.
It appears to be very similar to Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, a cooperative effort against multiple waves of enemies that players have to work together in.
Players can upgrade their characters to strengthen their abilities, change the color of their armor, and more as they fight in missions that will be given to them through multiplayer.
The two new Mass Effect Andromeda videos are some of the last we’ll be getting until the game comes out, and then it’s going to be all up to us to discover Andromeda for ourselves and overcome any challenges in the way.
Mass Effect Andromeda comes out on March 21 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, and if you’re a member of EA’s Access program then you’ll be able to get it a week early and start playing it. In the meantime, we’ll just have to sit back and wait for the game to release.
