Windows 10 Build 15048 Features The Much Awaited Game Mode, Now Available On The Insider Slow Ring

Windows 10 Build 15048 has been released to the slow ring. It has been 3 months since we last saw a version of Windows 10 for the slow ring and looking at how the Windows 10 Creators Update will be coming out next month it is possible that Windows 10 Build 15048 will be the last version before the update goes live.

The Windows 10 Build 15048 features plenty of bug fixes and the game mode is the major feature that is new in the build. Game mode better allocated the resources of the GPU and CPU in order to optimize performance for gaming.

As of right now, we do not know whether this mode will have a significant impact on gaming or not and from what we have seen in leaks the performance benefit is close to none.

It is possible that because the mode is still in development it might not work as expected but it is safe to say that there is a lot of hype surrounding this new feature.

There are other features in Windows 10 Build 15048 as well. Cortana is much better than before. You can now buy e-books and read then on Microsoft Edge.

Edge has also been better optimized. If you are a part of the Insider program then you can update now and see these features for yourself if not then the new update is not too far off.

The Windows 10 Creators Update is aimed at creators and gamers so it will be interesting to see all the features that we will be getting in the final release of the update. I am excited to see what will be coming our way in the new update.

I believe that Windows 10 is better off as a service rather than a product. Though you could feel differently about the product.
