Quake Champions Closed Beta Sign Ups Are Now Open

Bethesda has announced that Quake Champions closed beta sign ups are now open. If you are interested, you can register here.

It’s almost time to return to the Arenas, so dust off your rocket jumping and Railgun skills – sign-ups for the highly anticipated Closed Beta for Quake Champions are now open on the game’s new official site{target=”_blank’}. The Closed Beta is expected to begin in the coming weeks, and if you’re going to be attending PAX East{target=”_blank’} this weekend at the Boston Convention Center, Quake Champions will be playable at the Bethesda Booth.

Also, the company is going to release tomorrow a new trailer focused on a hero called Nyx, while on Thursday they’ll showcase the first Arena, Blood Covenant.

In a recent video interview id Software Studio Director, Tim Willits, talked about the inspiration for the Quake Champions new class system, sharing details about four Quake Champions playable heroes.

  • Ranger is a character appeared in the original Quake. His ability “Dire Orb” allows him to teleport.

  • Visor is a classic character from Quake 3. He has a unique ability called “Piercing Sight”, allowing him to see enemies through the wall and other barriers.

  • Nyx is an unseen character whose details will be shared tomorrow. She moves faster than the other champions and can be invincible for a short amount of time.

  • Scale Bearer is also a newcomer to the franchise. He can charge and ram its enemies thanks to his “Bull Rush” ability.
