PlayStation 4 Update 4.50 Brings External HDD Support
With PlayStation 4 update 4.50 users will be able to use any external hard drive in order to expand storage. This means that games will be downloaded directly to your external storage media. Seeing how games can take up a lot of space 500 GB may not be enough for many user’s gaming needs.

PlayStation 4 Update 4.50 PS VR Improvements
With the new update, users will notice consistency in the image quality in-game and the menu’s when using the PSVR headset. The framerate in Cinematic Mode will be increased from 90Hz to 120Hz. PSVR will also support Blu-ray 3D discs.
Voice Chat For Remote Play
Voice chat support will be introduced for Windows, Mac and Xperia devices with the new update. Even if you are away from you console this feature will make it feel like you were never apart.
Custom Wallpaper & Profile Color
You can now customize your PS4 with custom wallpapers and profile colors. You can even set a screenshot as a background if you want that. With PlayStation 4 update 4.50 personalization is better than ever.
Share Your Activity
Players will not be able to make the game feed even better with personal texts, screenshots and much more. Show what you are doing and which game you are playing with this new feature.
From Capture Gallery To SHAREfactory
You can now select a screenshot or video and go to the SHAREfactory to edit content and share it with your friends. This process is quicker than ever with PlayStation 4 update 4.50.
PlayStation 4 update 4.50 introduced GIF support so you can share much more than just pictures and videos.
Boost Mode (Applicable To PlayStation 4 Pro Only)
Boost mode will enable older titles that have not been optimized for the PS4 Pro to run better on the console. This mode can be turned on and off and depending on the title this mode could make loading times shorter and enhance frame rates.
