Only hours after Warner Bros Studios announced the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, the company has now announced the Middle-earth: Shadow of War PC requirements, even though the game doesn’t come out until August on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.

Why they’ve released them this early, we have no idea.

Normally PC requirements of games aren’t released until several weeks or days before the game releases, allowing players to get some time to upgrade their PCs before the game releases.

However, releasing the Middle-earth: Shadow of War PC requirements gives PC players a huge amount of time for them to upgrade and get ready.

The requirements are as follows:

OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7
Processor: Intel i5- 2550K, 3.4 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 670 | Radeon HD 7950
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 60 GB available space

OS: Windows 10 version 14393.102 or higher required
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 970 or GeForce 1060 | Radeon R9 290X or Radeon RX 480
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 60 GB available space

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will continue the story of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, as the Gondorian Ranger Talion and Celebrimbor, the elven smith bound to him in death, work to overthrow Sauron as he rebuilds his power while readying himself to take over Middle-earth.

To do this, Talion and Celebrimbor forge a new Ring of Power in order to challenge Sauron head-on. How this will pan out, however, we already know, due to the main Lord of the Rings story still happening.

If the Middle-earth: Shadow of War PC requirements are within your capabilities, then great, you have nothing to worry about! Otherwise, you’ll either have to upgrade your PC at some point in the next six months, or buy the game on a console to play it that way. Middle-earth: Shadow of War comes out on August 22, and gameplay will be revealed next Wednesday, March 8.
