God of War 4 Release Date Listed by Amazon for 2017

A God of War 4 release date of late this year has been hinted at by the game's Amazon store page, but there isn't anything concrete yet.

A God of War 4 release date has bene hinted at by the game’s Amazon store page, giving at least some sort of inkling about when Kratos’ next adventure will be coming out on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 Pro.

However, there aren’t any real specifics as of yet for the date.

All the store page implies is that the game will be coming out sometime this year.

This came from a poll released by Amazon that asked about what game they were excited for this year, with three choices.

These choices were God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Horizon Zero Dawn is going to be releasing in a few days worldwide (February 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe) while Red Dead Redemption 2 has been slated for a release sometime this fall. However, a God of War 4 release date still hasn’t come out.

If it does, however, it will likely be late this year as well.

God of War is one of the Playstation’s flagship series, and hasn’t had a main release in several years, since God of War: Ascension released for the Playstation 3 back in 2013. While remasters and re-releases have kept the series going, God of War 4 will still be the first new release in several years.

Whether the God of War 4 release date is going to be sometime this year (which it hopefully will) or sometime next year (which would be a shame), hopefully Sony Santa Monica is working their hardest to make sure that it’s a worthy return for the Ghost of Sparta.

Considering the various gameplay and story changes we’ve seen in the sneak peek offered by Sony Santa Monica at last year’s E3, the game shows a lot of promise that many can’t wait to try out for themselves.

God of War 4 will be releasing exclusively on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 Pro.
