Eddy Gordo to Be Featured in Tekken 7? Here’s Some Evidence

By   /   Feb 24, 2017

Veteran players surely know Eddy Gordo. He is a Brazilian capoeira fighter from the Tekken series who made his debut in the arcade version of Tekken 3 in 1997. He’s a very popular character but still there’s no official confirmation he will be added to the roster of Tekken 7.

Anyhow, thanks to a Tekken 7 press event being held in Brazil, we can tell you that Eddy Gordo might appear in the game.

People who were present confirmed that Eddy has been revealed during the conference, and the image you can see below should be a legit proof (even if the quality is not that good).

Tekken 7 isn’t out yet, but the story mode of the game has been discussed by producer Katsuhiro Harada. He’s said that the campaign of Tekken 7 will be different from whate we’ve found in the previous chapters of the Tekken franchise:

In typical story modes in other fighting games, you simply load the game, each character says one or two lines to each other before the battle, then you go into the standard battle with the timer from the same position every time. All the same rules apply from them fighting. But we tried to change that, so the circumstances at the beginning of the fight might change: the relation of you to your opponent distance-wise, maybe your health or the status of the stage. Everything was done in order to make the game feel very immersive. Whatever is going on in the cinematics shifts straight into the in-game scene, and then straight into the gameplay itself. You’re not thrown into the standard battle.

Tekken 7 is a fighting game that’s set to release on June 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
