New League of Legends Patch Nerfs Burst Damage of Corki and Ryze
League of Legends Patch 7.3 is reducing the burst damage potential of both Corki and Ryze to make the lives of their opponents easier.
For a long while, Corki has been bombarding foes from range with an infinite supply of missiles. New changes to R (Missile Barrage) lower the base damage numbers of both the normal and Big One missile attacks. The ability power ratio of both have been dialed back as well. In addition, for solely normal missiles, the total attack damage ratio has been lowered to reduce impact of spam in-lane.
Furthermore, Corki has received an indicator beneath his health bar much similar to the one Annie has. The meter will show how close Corki is to getting his Big One ready. This will help foes get ready to dodge or work around the incoming attack.
R (Missile Barrage)
Normal missile damage numbers
- Base Damage: 100/130/160 ⇒ 75/100/125
- Total Attack Damage Ratio: 20/60/100% ⇒ 15/45/75%
- Ability Power Ratio: 30% ⇒ 20%
R (Missile Barrage)
Big One damage numbers
- Base Damage: 150/195/240 ⇒ 150/200/250
- Total Attack Damage Ratio: 30/90/150% (unchanged)
- Ability Power Ratio: 45% ⇒ 40%
League of Legends Patch 7.3 brings just one change for Ryze but that is of the most significance. Riot Games has shaved a decent amount of damage from E (Essence Flux).
Enemy opponents coming close to flux’d minion waves will now receive lesser damage compared to before. In addition, the lowered damage should save late game players from getting one-shot by Ryze with a quick double-tap.
E (Essence Flux)
- Q Bonus Damage vs Flux’d Targets: 40/55/70/85/100% ⇒ 40/50/60/70/80%
Elsewhere in the patch notes, Cho’Gath received a massive improvement to his ultimate stacking ability. The walking terror is now able to gain an infinite amount of stacks on his R (Feast). Maokai has been forced to be careful with his resource management.
Bard received a nifty buff to his passive ability. The Wandering Caretaker will now generate a greater bonus movement speed after collecting each chime. Bard already excels as a roaming support in League of Legends. The improvements to his wandering will end up in creating more opportunities for play-making.
