Pillars of Eternity 2 Crowd Funding Goes Past $3 Million
Pillars of Eternity 2 is now one of the most successful crowdfunded titles on Fig. According to the latest stats, Pillar of Eternity 2 has gone past $3 million.
It is the biggest crowd-funded title on Fig right now. To celebrate the massive success and to thank the community and the investors, developers will be sharing details regarding a new feature for Pillars of Eternity 2.
We’re now the campaign with the most backers in Fig history, and it’s due to our amazing fans who, like us, want to make Pillars of Eternity II the deepest, most robust, and most engrossing RPG it can possibly be. We’re so excited to be able to include companion relationships, which we know are going to make the game even more incredible.
While we have more in the way of stretch goals and — only a few days left to achieve them! — we’ll save them (and a big announcement about a really important, super cool, and heretofore extremely hush-hush game feature) for our next update, which will be coming very soon. For now, we’ll keep it brief and just say thanks.
The game is currently sitting on $3,094,054 but there are still stretch goals that need to be met. When the game reaches $3.25 million, devs plan to add optional sidekicks. Using this money, Obsidian plans to create a bigger game, more reactive world, and a strong lineup of characters.
Obsidian has also announced two new rewards for their backer tiers both of which include pet mascot of Pillars of Eternity, the Space Pig.
