Square Enix has announced Project Prelude Rune, a brand new RPG from newly established Studio Istolia, which headed by the former Tales producer Hideo Baba.
In a press release, Square Enix explained that name “Istolia” is based on the Greek word for story, and the purpose of this studio ” is to provide unforgettable stories that will inspire players in their own lives, and bring new game experiences to everyone around the world”. Square Enix also revealed some cool concept art(via Gamer) for Project Prelude Rune.
In related new, Square Enix has hinted that they would like to bring their famous MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, to the upcoming hybrid console from Nintendo, Nintendo Switch. According to Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida, in order for the game to be released for the console, Nintendo has to make some changes.
The main limitation [is] that they absolutely don’t want to create a boxed off version of the game that can’t interact with the others. If that could be overcome then they’d be very interested in discussing a Switch port.
Square Enix is yet to reveal the release window and the platforms for Project Prelude Rune and it seems that the game itself is very early in development.
