Report: Next Overwatch Hero Might Be Greek Character

The next Overwatch hero might be coming in next few months and it seems that the next Overwatch hero will be a Greek hero.

Blizzard Entertainment released Sombra back in November and since then the studio has added new content to the game except for a new playable character. The next Overwatch hero might be coming in next few months and it seems that the next playable character will be a Greek hero.

For past couple of months, we all thought that Doomfist might be the new Overwatch hero. However, game director Jeff Kaplan has hinted that Doomfist might not be the next playable hero. It seems that we all have missed something.

A Reddit thread has found some evidence that the next Overwatch hero will be a Greek character. The main evidence for this suggestion is the CV of Greek actor Alex Malaos. While the CV has been taken down, the actor listed a role for Overwatch, produced by Blizzard, under the direction of Kaplan.

The character is currently titled “Greek” but it makes sense since Overwatch maps have associations with characters.

In related new, Overwatch game director, Jeff Kaplan, will be participating in the Quake Tournament at DICE 2017 this Thursday. We might also see Randy Pitchford and Jeff Kaplan to against each other in a 1v1 in QuakeWorld if they get drawn together.

There will be other developers from Bandai Namco, id Software, Insomniac Games and more who will be competing in the tournament.

Overwatch is a first-person shooter developed by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
