Final Fantasy XV Update 1.5 Now Available, Brings Timed Quests, Portable Music Player And More

Square Enix has rolled out the Final Fantasy XV update 1.5 that brings performance boost for PS4 Pro, new timed quests and more. What is interesting is that the update has been released ahead of its planned release date of February 21, 2017.

Final Fantasy XV Update 1.5 brings portable music player for Chocobo rides, a number of bug fixes and concludes the Moogle Chocobo Carnival.

  • PlayStation 4 Pro console Lite Mode compatibility with a maximum of 60 fps
  • New Timed Quests (limited-time hunts and contests)
  • Higher level cap (up to 120)
  • Increased camera roll capacity (store up to 200 photos)
  • Portable music player for chocobo rides
  • Conclusion of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival
  • Various bug fixes

Square Enix noted in a press release that the update also adds two tracks from NieR Automata to the in-game radio the “Inishie no Uta / Unmei” and “Weight of the World.”

However, The Booster Pack+ DLC will be available on February 21 which will include he “Boost Sword” weapon, “Dragon Mod” fishing rod, and “Aviol” reel.

Square Enix is also working on the avatar system for Final Fantasy XV and recently game director Hajime Tabata shared the first look at the Final Fantasy XV avatar creation system and also shared some thoughts on how the system works in the current build.

Right now, the current stage of development lets you change the character and morph it into another character that looks very different. We want to implement it so that you can use them in single player as well, although this is something usually made for multiplayer.

Final Fantasy XV is an open-world action adventure game developed by Square Enix for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
