People that have been in the market for a new console may have a good reason to go out and buy one this weekend, as a pretty big Xbox One S price drop is coming this weekend, and will be including an Xbox One S bundle that comes with Halo Wars 2.
The price drop seems to be fairly uniform across the board, with most of the Xbox One S drops being around fifty dollars. Also, if you buy one of the bundles from the Microsoft store, you’ll be getting a free game alongside your console purchase, so you can have something to play right out of the gate.
With the Xbox One S already being priced at $299, the Xbox One S price drop has dropped it down to $249, with a number of different bundles. These bundles include a Halo Wars 2 bundle, a Battlefield 1 bundle, a Forza Horizon 3 bundle, a FIFA 17 bundle, and a Gears of War 4 bundle. Some of these bundles (mainly the Forza Horizon 3 and Battlefield 1 bundles) also have a number of variants, including a special bundle, a bundle of a certain color, or the regular, vanilla bundle.
With Halo Wars 2 being the most-anticipated game that’s coming out this week (hot on the heels of Ubisoft’s action game For Honor), it’s likely that that game (particularly since it’s being developed by the masters of real-time strategy Creative Assembly) is going to be coming off the best of both game sales this weekend and, hopefully, console bundles, at least for the more strategy-oriented gamer that’s looking for a new console.
Probably the best deal, however, isn’t even related to the Xbox One S price drop. Instead, the best deal would be on the $399 1-Terabyte Xbox One, which gets a $170 price cut down to $229, though that depends on if you like The Division or not.
Either way, head on over to the Microsoft Store if you want to see all the deals available now.
