The launch of the highly anticipated PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, is just around the corner and gamers are excited about the game. While the review embargo for the game will be lifted on February 20, 2017, but the first Horizon Zero Dawn review has been leaked.
Engadget posted its Horizon Zero Dawn review ahead of the embargo’s date. While the review has been taken down since, but Reddit user “falconbox” managed to take a screenshot of the entire review.
As for the review, it praises the game for its powerful narrative, strong character development, and a perfect blend of sci-fi and fantasy genres. This Horizon Zero Dawn review also mentions that Aloy’s personal journey is connected to “to the broad mysteries hovering over Horizon’s world”.
Horizon Zero Dawn has shaped to be an excellent game, with its dynamic weather system the game looks even more beautiful. Recently, game director Mathijs de Jonge revealed that they had some prototypes for the random lightning strikes that would hit the enemies and players at random but they removed it because it felt unfair.
He further explained that the weather system in Horizon Zero Dawn is more about the atmosphere rather than the random events killing the player. There is one weather effect that we haven’t seen in the trailers or the gameplay yet. According to Mathijs de Jonge, players will also encounter dust storms in a region that will limit their visibility.
According to a recent report, Horizon Zero Dawn also runs very well on both standard PS4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Reddit user Lordridude, is very solid technically, running at a rock solid 30 FPS with no slowdown, even on the Playstation 4 Pro.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world action adventure game developed by Guerrilla Games and is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
