For Honor Dominion Guide

For Honor Dominion isn’t about simply running to an enemy hero and killing it. While it does help to some extent, winning a game of Dominion requires map control, map awareness, and the ability to play with a team.

In our For Honor Dominion Guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about playing the Dominion effectively and winning more matches.

For Honor Dominion – Group Up

We all love those 1-on-1 duels, but things can quickly change in Dominion. When playing this game mode, you should always have teammates watching your back. Moreover, you should always help your teammates out.

I highly recommend dividing into small groups to control objectives. If you’re doing so alone, try to take 1-on-1 fights, but as soon as you see more opponents join their teammates, try to even the odds.

Remember that it’s better to retreat and grouping up than dying alone.

For Honor Dominion – Playing the Objective

As mentioned earlier, the main objective of Dominion is to control upto three capture points on the map. This is done by making sure that no enemies are inside the capture zone and standing inside it for a short duration of time.

When you initially control a capture zone, you gain 100 points for your team. After that, if you control a capture point from the opposing team, you not only gain 100 points, but also deduct 100 points from the opposing team’s total score.

This is something you need to capitalize on.

After you successfully manage to control a capture zone, you’ll continue to accumulate points over time. These points are doubled up if you’ve at least one teammate standing inside a controlled capture zone.

It’s a good idea to leave a teammate inside each of the capture zones in your control in order to defend them better and maximize your score. In this way, even if you’ve a single capture zone, you’ll accumulate more points as compared to the opposing team; provided that the opposing team has no one inside their controlled capture zones.

For Honor Dominion – Breaking

As mentioned earlier, maintaining your control on capture zones allows you to gain points. Once you manage to accumulate 1,000 points, you cause a Break which is equivalent to breaking the morale of the opposing team.

During the course of Break, the enemy team is unable to respawn and if you manage to eliminate all 4 members of the opposing team, you win the match. However, doing so is not as easy as it sounds. The reason for this is because an enemy manages to control a capture zone, it will bring you down from 1,000 points and effectively ending the Break.

Due to this, you need to make sure that you don’t let the opposing team terminate your Break period. In order to prevent it, I highly recommend dividing your team into two groups with one group making sure that all the captured zones stay intact and the other group eliminating members of the opposing team.

If you manage to eliminate 2-3 members of the opposing team, you should easily be able to group up and eliminate the last threat. Another thing you need to keep in mind is to make sure that enemies can’t revive each other up.

For Honor Dominion – Knowing the Map

It goes without saying, but knowing the map on which the Dominion is being played can help you a lot. This will not only allow you to make rotations faster than the opposing team, but you’ll also be able to maintain control in a better way.

Another thing you need to keep in mind is that standing in one of the uncontested capture zones is one of the ways of healing up. If you’re aware of where all the capture zones are located and are continuously looking at the map, you should easily be able to prevent the opposing team from healing.
