With the launch of AMD Ryzen CPUs on the horizon, it is high time for motherboard manufacturers around the globe to show off the products they have designed for AMD Ryzen family. In a recent Facebook post, Gigabyte Aorus debuts its upcoming AM4 based motherboard designed exclusively for AMD Ryzen CPUs.

Gigabyte Aorus did not give much information on its hardware as of now, but all we know is the motherboard is called GA-AX370-Gaming 5. The design of motherboard is done while keeping AMD’s Ryzen CPUs in proposition. We will evaluate the details of motherboards from its images, check it out below:

As clear from the image, the Gigabyte Aorus motherboard features three PCiExpress ports, as well as a trio of NVME M.2 PCIE connectors. The I/O ports and SATA connectors are designed at the edges of board.
Orange LEDs light up at the top two PCIExpress ports and below four DIMM slots. A large heatsink can sit on the chipset and PWM areas.
The rear panel of AM4 motherboard consists of five gold plated 3.5mm audio ports. A USB 3.0 Type-C connector, four USB 3.0 ports and a few USB 2.0 ports with an addition of three USB 3.1 connectors. A PS/2 combi port can be seen also.
In a parallel news, since AMD Ryzen CPUs are near the launch date, ASUS and gigabyte previously showcased motherboards built specifically for Ryzen lineup. Prime Asus X370, which will be a mid-range motherboard and will support overclocking.
As a strong selling point of AMD Ryzen is that it will have overclocking headroom, it makes sense that this feature is there even on mid-range motherboards, at least from Asus. It will come with all kinds of features like Aura RGB, USB 3.1 support and be compatible with M.2 SSDs.
