Open world games can be a bit tricky to develop as the devs have to deal with player freedom. It is challenging to create a sense of flow in open-world games given that players can go anywhere they want and do whatever they want for hours before taking up an important mission in the main story. Nintendo also faced this challenge for Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild, but apparently, producer Eiji Aonuma apparently has a trick up his sleeve for this.
Speaking with GameInformer, Shigeru Miyamoto said that he knows the secret how to make an interesting open-world game. Aonuma added that there is a trick to it, an idea he had since he started developing games.
There is a little bit of a trick that I implemented this time. This idea is something I’ve had since I started developing games 20-some odd years ago. So I really want you to look forward to playing the game and finding this something that I put in there.
However, the duo did not reveal what the trick might be, but we are sure that whatever this trick is, Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will be an interesting game.
Recently, Nintendo confirmed a fan favorite character returning to the upcoming Legend Of Zelda game. The shopkeep Beedle from the Wind Waker has been confirmed for the upcoming game. Shopkeep Beedle is a wandering merchant that can be found carrying his wares in an enormous backpack.
Nintendo has also confirmed that Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will have multiple endings and players have to meet certain criteria to achieve the alternate endings.
Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is an open-world action adventure game in development at Nintendo and is scheduled to launch on March 3, 2017, for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
