AMD Capsaicin Event will be held on February 28, 2017, at 10:30 am PT. AMD Capsaicin Event will also be live streamed, and the registration page for the event is already up, which talks a bit about the event.

This year at GDC, join us on the 28th for our Capsaicin livestream and our Cream developer sessions – insightful and inspiring talks focused on rendering ideas and new paths forward, driven by game industry gurus from multiple companies including Epic and Unity.

The Capsaicin livestream kicks off at 10:30 AM from Ruby Skye, a feature-packed show highlighting the hottest new graphics and VR technologies propelling the games industry forward. The Cream Developer Sessions will start shortly after at 2:30 PM, with a special talk featuring Unity and Epic.

AMD is currently focussing on the release of its Ryzen APU, and recently price, clock speed and power consumption for all the Ryzen variants leaked.

Also, it is speculated that AMD will be revealing its VEGA GPUs at the Capsaicin Event during GDC 2017. However, chances for that are quite low as AMD has moved the launch for Vega GPUs. But we are expecting a number of demonstrations at the event by the company.

It would be interesting to see AMD revealing its Vega GPUs, if they did. Which will definitely put some pressure on Nvidia, as the competition usually drives the hardware prices down which is a win win for the consumers.
