Bloodborne Boost Mode Does Not Give Enough Boost, Increases Only One FPS
The PS4 Pro’s upcoming Boost Mode allows higher frames per second for a certain game by utilizing the buffed hardware of PS4 Pro Console. The recent test of Boost Mode for Bloodborne game has unfortunately not given enough boost. The Boost Mode only managed to increase one FPS from 29.0 to 30.0 FPS: the result is rather a FPS stabilizer instead of increase in FPS.
In addition to increasing one FPS or more likely stabilizing 30 FPS, the Boost Mode increased one second load time. The Boost mode is tested by NX Gamer and DigitalFoundry. NX gamer tested Bloodborne FPS while in combat and measured frames pacing, however, DigitaFoundry’s test was based on the character running around in game environment. Regardless, both of the videos only gave a consistent output of 30 FPS instead of 60 FPS.
Check out both videos below:
DigitalFoundry’s Boost Mode test is given below:
The Boost Mode application of PS4 Pro seems insignificant in order to get 60 FPS for Bloodborne. It seems that only way to get 60 FPS for Bloodborne is the official support From Software team.
Bloodborne is an action role-playing video game developed by ‘From Software’, produced with SIE Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Officially announced at Sony’s Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014 conference, the game was released worldwide for the PlayStation 4 in March 2015.
