Psyonix has announced today that they are teaming up with Hot Wheels for an upcoming Rocket League Hotwheels DLC.
This DLC will launch on February 21, 2017 adding two new cars to the game: the Twin Mill III and Bone Shaker. Both of them can also be bought separately for USD $1.99. Rocket League Hotwheels DLC will also give free content to every player:
- Hot Wheels Antenna and Topper
- Treasure Hunt Flag
- Shark Bite Topper
Rocket League is currently available for consoles and PC, but there’s been talking about a Nintendo Switch version. This question was addressed by Psyonix’s Jeremy Dunham as he has said that it’s up to players to show their support and give the team enough motivation to make a portable version of the game.
Should we do it? And does the community want us to do it? Those are all the elements we have to consider, and if the answers are positive, then we would. Now we don’t know whether this game will have cross platform multiplayer or not, but our goal for any version of Rocket League we make is to make it cross network, no matter where you are. So really, it is a matter of understanding our limitations, what they might or might not be in that situation. So in general we would always try to make it work- whether or not we would in this case would depend on whether or not we develop for the platform in the first place, and then whether or not it would be possible.
Rocket League is a futuristic Sports-Action game developed by Psyonix for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
