Ghost Recon Wildlands is just a month away from launch and Ubisoft has geared up its efforts to market the game. Ubisoft has been developing a live action short movie for the upcoming game and the first trailer for Ghost Recon Wildlands War Within The Cartel has been revealed.
Ghost Recon Wildlands War Within The Cartel is a live action short movie that is also a prequel to the game. This 30-minute movie will set up the events of the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands game. This short movie will give players a look at the inside workings of the Santa Blanca Cartel.
The short movie will follow the events after an attack on the Santa Blanca compound and the senior leadership is looking for the traitor. The movie’s ending will directly tie-in with the beginning of Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Ghost Recon Wildlands War Within The Cartel will premiere on February 16, 2017, on the official Ubisoft Twitch channel.
Not only Ghost Recon Wildlands is the first open-world game in the franchise, but it will also feature the biggest open-world Ubisoft has ever created. According to Tom Isaksen, Senior Character Artist, Bolivia will be an authentic reconstruction of the country with 11 different ecosystems.
Well we have been working on it for 4 years now, it is almost there, close to release. We are very proud of it, especially Bolivia. It is interesting because it is a place not well-known. It is an authentic reconstruction of the country, and sure it is still a fantasy, but we really tried to create an authentic Bolivia. Hopefully, once you have played it, you will want to go there because it is a very diverse country with 11 different ecosystems.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open-world tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on March 7, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
