Sony has been in the lead of this console generation since the start and the company intends to keep it. Now Sony Interactive Entertainment has reported a strong momentum for its PSN and also revealed that PSVR sales have been in line with the company’s expectations.
During the company’s earnings call, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Kenichiro Yoshida revealed that PSN revenue increased 40% year-on-year and continues to have strong momentum. He also revealed that PlayStation VR sales have been in line with what the company was expecting.
During the event, Yoshida also revealed that the launch of PlayStation VR contributed in the sales of PlayStation 4 Pro and said that PS4 Pro is selling in line with the expectations.
PS4 Pro is running as we had assumed, but Pro maybe is doing more than we anticipated.
It is hardly surprising that PSN is doing so well given Sony has shipped over 50 million units of PlayStation 4 worldwide.
