For Honor Open Beta Dates Leaked, Will Be Held In February Ahead Of Launch

Ubisoft has just wrapped up the closed beta for its upcoming game, For Honor, and now it seems that Ubisoft is preparing for For Honor open beta.

It seems that we will not have to wait long to jump back into the game as it has been revealed that For Honor open beta is scheduled to be held in February. According to the email received by Twitch Prime users, For Honor open beta will take place February 9-12.

A NeoGaf user posted a screenshot of the mail he received which reveals that For Honor open beta will take place in February along with the dates. However, Ubisoft is yet to officially announce the open beta.

The mail also reveals that Twitch Prime users will also get bonuses for the game at launch like 10-day champion status, a bonus to currency and XP earn rate and an exclusive emblem.

Ubisoft is putting a lot of emphasis on the multiplayer component of For Honor which makes us wonder if the game will be an e-Sports title as the game will introduce skill-based multiplayer that will test gamers around the world.

According to Game director Roman Campos Oriola, For Honor could be an e-Sports title only if fans want it.

My personal opinion, I don’t believe that as a game developer we get the chance to say ‘yeah, you know what? We’re building an eSport.’ Maybe? Maybe not? (laughs). Again for me, it is something that needs to come from the community to actually be authentic and actually drive a real response.

For Honor is an action hack and slash game in development at Ubisoft Montreal and is scheduled to launch on February 14, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
