DRAM prices will continue to rise till the end of 2017, says a report. President of Nanya Technology, a DRAM maker, said that DRAM prices will continue to rally (rise) over the second quarter of 2017.
Moreover, the President at Nanya technology said that the DRAM prices may fall or maybe not in the second half of the year. Prices are subjected to the tight supply. Nanya is upgrading its production lines to the new 20 nm node, with early production by the end of Q1-2017
Meanwhile, the DRAM prices have jumped to double the amount. A typical 32GB dual-channel DDR4 memory stick which would have cost near $90 in summer 2016, its price now jumps near the double amount, $170.
The price jump is not found in the United States alone, but in Europe also, DRAM pricing has surged. But mostly, in Europe, the price jump is in between 10-20 euros, while in the US, then and now price gap is almost double the amount.
In a parallel new about DDR4 RAM, G.SKILL TridnetZ DDR4 RAM comes out optimized for Z270 motherboards. All thanks to increased limits of 7th Generation Intel Core processor series. The G.SKILL TridentZ DDR4 RAM features RGB lighting for all you color coordinated PC enthusiasts that are touchy about such matters.
A 16GB kit (8GB x 2) running at 4266MHz with CL19-19-19-39, and a 32GB kit (8GB x 4) DDR running at 4133MHz with CL19-21-21-41 timings have been announced for PC enthusiasts. So they aren’t just looking great in your build they will be blistering fast as well.
Let us know what you think about this increase in price for DRAM headed your way in 2017. Hopefully there will be some better side of the story.
