The Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC has been announced and it is a slimmer and more compact design as compared to other Palit GTC 1080s. While this is being introduced as a new GPU it should be noted that there are Palit cards on the market that are faster and more powerful than the Palit GeForce GTX 1080. The GPU has 1,620MHz base clock and 1,759MHz boost clock. The effective memory frequency is 10,000MHz which is also slightly lower than other versions.

But there has to be something good about this GPU, I mean why are we talking about it then? Yes, the lower clock speeds mean that the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC only needs a single 8-pin power connector and that is it. The Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC is also the only GTX 1080 from the company that comes in a dual slot design. If you are someone not interested in a beefy GPU then this could be something that might interest you.
This GPU can be used for two way SLI and it is also shorter than other cards that Palit has previously introduced. There is a black shroud on the card which means that it will be able to blend in with plenty of motherboards. The Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC might not be the meanest kid on the block but you have to compromise somewhere. Remember that this is a GTX 1080 at heart so you are still getting a lot of power.
As of right now we do not have information regarding the pricing and availability of the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC but seeing how this is a custom GTX 1080 you already know that this will not come cheap. We will let you know when we have more information regarding the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC.
