New rumors have surfaced over the internet about the specifications, availability and how much expensive a Ryzen CPU will cost you. The latest source is a complete rumor as no official announcement has been made as of now. The source news is from Chiphell forum who claims that knowledge about Ryzen CPU is an insider job and it is verified.
AMD is expected to launch Zen processors in three distinct tiers: SR7, SR5 and SR3. More like Intel’s Core i7, i5 and i3 product lines. The SR7 will be the top tier in series including the eight-core processors that support 16 threads. However, regardless of the core count, all AMD Ryzen CPUs are rumored to come out with an unlocked multiplier making them overclocking ready.
Rumor moreover suggest that the later AMD Ryzen CPUs coming out in 2017 will have more clock speed compared to the CPUs launching earlier this year. But, all the CPUs will have a base clock speed more than 3.4 GHz and a fixed 8-core count number.
The rumor tells the first AMD Ryzen CPU coming out in Q1 2017 will have following specifications:
- 8-core 16-Thread CPU
- 4GHz clock speed
- 20MB L2+L3 cache
- AMD SenseMI technology
With all the high end hardware of Ryzen CPU it is certain that it will not be as cheap as any regular Intel’s CPU. The experts suggest that the price point of first AMD Ryzen CPU will range in $580-$720. Whether or not the surfaced rumors come true is a matter of time. AMD eventually will announce officially the CPU specifications, price and its day one availability figure in near time.
