This is the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Aorus, the card that everyone thought was the upcoming GTX 1080Ti and looking at the aggressive nature and styling of the GPU you can see for yourself how that mistake would be easy to make. It was later confirmed that this was indeed the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Aorus and not the GTX 1080Ti. Here we are going to talk about the specifications.
Gigabyte GTX 1080 Aorus Specifications
If you talk about the design then you can see that there is a lot of similarities between the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Aorus and the Gigabyte XTREME GAMING. It would be safe so say that the 1080 Aorus is a modified version of the XTREME GAMING. The Gigabyte GTC 1080 Aorus has the following specifications:
- 1784 base clock in OC mode
- 1936 boost clock in OC mode
- Memory is clocked at 1300 MHz (10400 MHz effective)
- Two 8-pin power connectors
The GPU also has illuminated RGB logos, as RGB is a common thing these days it is not surprising to see this. The GPU will be able to power 3 4K videos at the same time, if you are interested in something like that then you should look into buying one of these GPUs.
