Final Fantasy XV January update is scheduled to go live on 24th January and will introduce lots of new and updated content for the Square Enix RPG.
Among the updated content in Final Fantasy XV January update is the Holiday Pack and Holiday Pack+ which include new costume Festive Ensemble for Noctis and start the Moogle Chocobo Carnival.
There isn’t a lot of information available regarding what will be in the carnival but Square Enix has promised that players can expect ample amount of “festive activities”.
Unlike the Festive Ensemble, which only those who own the Season Pass can claim, the Final Fantasy XV January update will also add in a Choco-Mog Tee Shirt, which is free for everyone and comes with a special hat.
The update will also include a new Holiday themed photo frame to be used with the picture Prompto takes while players are roaming through the game world.
After years of development hell and numerous delays, Haijime Tabata produced Final Fantasy XV finally released in November last year. While the reviews for the game were generally positive, the unfinished state of the game was highly criticized.
However, despite all the issues the game still managed to sell more than 6 million units simply because of the massive hype generated throughout the 10 year development period.
The development team since then has been working hard to alleviate those issues by adding in more cutscenes to make the story coherent as well as introducing new features such as New Game Plus mode to keep the fans engaged.
More content for the game is already in development including expansion packs that come with the season pass as well as free updates to add in new features such as the upcoming Final Fantasy XV January update.
Final Fantasy XV is available to play now on PS4 and Xbox One. There is no word about a PC release yet.
