Bioware has also revealed some multiplayer details for Mass Effect Andromeda. According to the devs, the multiplayer will impact the single player game but it will not have any effect on the main story.

There’s a system that we use called the Strike Team system, and fundamentally it allows you to go between singleplayer and multiplayer within the game. And it’s packaged around a meta-story of what’s going on in Helios.

Bioware further revealed that the multiplayer will take you deeper in the meta-story but multiplayer is not necessary as it can be completed in single-player. Gamble added that it is pretty seamless to switch between singleplayer and multiplayer.

Also, the transition between Singleplayer and multiplayer is not instantaneous as you will see a loading screen but players will not have to quit the game before switching.

Mass Effect Andromeda is an upcoming action-adventure RPG in development at Bioware and will launch on March 21, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
