Phil Spencer Promises To Keep Taking Risks, Says Internal Studios Are Important

The gaming community is quite upset over the cancellation of Scalebound by Microsoft as the company did not reveal any specific reason for the cancellation. According to Phil Spencer, it was difficult to cancel such a promising game but ultimately it is good for Xbox gamers.

Now Phil Spencer has promised fans that Microsoft will keep taking risks but acknowledged that by now this promise might feel hollow.

In another tweet, Spencer said that the cancellation of the Scalebound will not stop Microsoft from signing deals with third party studios and at the same time acknowledged that first party studios are crucial if they want to be successful.

Aside from the exclusive games for Xbox One, gamers are also looking forward towards the reveal of Xbox One Scorpio which is scheduled to launch in Holiday 2017. Many are expecting that Microsoft will reveal the upcoming console at E3 2017 but according to Phil Spencer, he not sure about that.

While replying to a fan on Twitter, Xbox head, Phil Spencer, said that he is not sure if Xbox One Scorpio reveal will happen at E3 2017, but acknowledged that he knows that fans want it.

The only Xbox One exclusives remain after the cancellation of Scalebound are Halo Wars 2, Sea Of Thieves, Crackdown 3, State Of Decay 2 and Cuphead. Hopefully, Microsoft will announce new exclusive at this year’s E3 2017.
