Microsoft’s Backwards Compatibility list of games for Xbox One continues to grow at an amazing rate and the company recently announced that Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 will also be joining the list.
It seems that this isn’t the only good news waiting for Battlefield fans on Xbox One as a recent Facebook post suggests that Battlefield Bad Company 2 might be joining EA Access as well.
According to a translation of a post on Xbox Germany’s Facebook page, Bad Company 2 will soon be added to the EA Access Vault allowing anyone who has subscribed to the service, free access to the game on Xbox One.
We’re playing a round of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on the Xbox One! Now backward compatible and in store or with EA Access in the Vault. Still a cool game today, right?
While the Facebook post has since been edited to remove any mention of EA Access, considering that many other DICE games including Battlefront, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline are part of EA Access Vault, it won’t be too much of a stretch to imagine Bad Company 2 in there as well.
Even if the game doesn’t end up being in the Vault for now, EA should definitely consider adding it in just to build up a big enough player base for everyone to enjoy the multiplayer.
It doesn’t hurt if players get to experience the singleplayer campaign as well since it is one of the best Battlefield campaigns in franchise history.
There is no official word from EA or Xbox whether this was just a mistake or foreshadowing of what’s to come soon but hopefully, more information will be revealed soon so if some fan doesn’t have their EA Access subscription activated, they can do so in time for Bad Company 2 to launch in the program.
