Publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced The Plague, an action-adventure game in development at Asobo Studio. While the company did not announce any release date for the game but revealed that it will launch for PC and consoles.
Asobo Studio is currently finishing the pre-production for The Plague and the game will be showcased at Focus Home Interactive’s Paris event, What’s Next de Focus. The event will take place on February 1 and will end on February 2.
Asobo Studio’s CEO, Sebastian Wloch, said in a press release that their partnership with publisher Focus Home Interactive is a major step towards the development of The Plague.
For this ambitious project, we needed the full support of a strong and growing publisher. The Focus team, through their professionalism, enthusiasm, and openness, have naturally established themselves as the ideal partners to bring the experience we wish to offer to players.
Focus Home Interactive’s President Cédric Lagarrigue added that it is an honor for the company to be able to publish an original creation of Asobo Studio.
This new signature confirms our results and know-how on the support of talented independent studios such as Dontnod, Deck13, Giants Software, Cyanide, New World Interactive, and Larian on increasingly ambitious projects worldwide. There is a real upscaling of our catalog and The Plague will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the next years of Focus.
Other games in production at Focus Home Interactive such as Vampyr, Styx: Shards of Darkness, Call of Cthulhu and more are also expected to be showcased at What’s Next de Focus event.
