It’s on! Finally, after a long wait, BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn has officially announced Mass Effect Andromeda release date.
According to his post on Mass Effect website, this game is releasing on March 21 in North America, while the European version will be available starting from March 23.
On behalf of our teams across Montreal, Edmonton and Austin, I’m excited to announce that Mass EffectTM: Andromeda will be launching in North America on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 and beginning Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Europe. We appreciate your patience (and in fact, even your lack of patience in some instances) as we’ve been focused on completing the game.
However, Mass Effect Andromeda is the first game of the series that won’t release on old-gen consoles since their hardware is not powerful enough to support it.
Michael Gamble talked about this question during a recent interview with Stevivor.
Andromeda is totally different. You look up the windscreen of the Tempest, and space is rendered in front of you 180 degrees. If you go to the back of the Tempest, you’ll see that the star that’s behind the ship is actually there, reflecting light beautifully on the conference room in the Tempest. Then, as you fly to different areas through a black hole, you see those effects things in a different way. I’m kind of nerding out visually on it, but next-gen really allows us to do great things.
This game will also support PS4 Pro enhanced features, while a Project Scorpio version hasn’t been announced.
You can now start counting the remaining days as Mass Effect Andromeda release date is not a secret anymore.
This game is an action RPG being developed by BioWare for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
