One of many advantages of being a PC gamer is that we have access to player made mods that bring interesting things to the games. Despite all the content Capcom has been releasing for Street Fighter V many are disappointed over the lack of Street Fighter V Arcade mode.
While the competitive minded players do not mind that Capcom removed the arcade mode but casual players find the lack of this mode a big mistake.
However, those players will not have to wait for Capcom to launch the Street Fighter V Arcade mode, at least not on PC, as a new mod will bring this mode to the game. This mod is currently in early alpha and is not publicly available yet.
This new mod adds the Arcade Mode option in the game’s single-player menu. This mode will put players against the CPU controlled adversaries. According to the modder:
This mod is a combination of scripting sequences of CPU opponents in Versus Mode and adding in some new UI elements to accommodate the Arcade Mode’s dependencies (a Continue Screen, etc.). I got the idea while messing around in Versus Mode while growing impatient with the online matchmaking.
While the game got mixed reviews, Capcom seems to be determined to support the game until 2020. According to game producer Yoshinori Ono, Capcom is already planning ahead for the game’s future and have plans in place as far ahead as 2020.
I said in the beginning that we’ve seen a higher number of [tournament] entrants than we had in the Street Fighter 4 era, but we’d like to heighten that even further, the more people participate, the bigger tournaments we can host, and the more people are going to watch them, which is directly connected with our sales, and that’s going to decide the future
Street Fighter V is a fighting video game developed by Capcom exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PC.
