Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 Will Only Be PlayStation Exclusives

Many fans have been discussing about whether Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 will be released for other platforms than PlayStation, and John Hardin, Atlus PR manager for the USA, finally give them an answer.

According to him, these games will be playstation exclusives, so they won’t release on Nintendo Switch, nor PC and Xbox One.

However, Persona 5 has sold very well in Japan, with over 550,000 copies sold and critical acclaim. It’s an incredible result for Atlus, since this franchise was quite unknown before Persona 4 release as previous games were niche products.

But things have changed. Persona 5 sales are the best in Atlus history in Japan since its foundation over 30 years ago and the series sales are at 6.9 million even before Persona 5 release in the West.

Persona 5 is an RPG game developed by Atlus for PS3 and PS4. It’s the sixth installment in the series, released in Japan in September 2016, while the West version will be available starting from April 2017.

This game is set in Tokyo, and follows the story of a criminal. The protagonist and his friends eventually awakens to their Persona powers, forming a group of vigilantes called the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

Persona 5 has been delayed several times, but the West release is around the corner.

Will this game be successful in North America and Europe too?
