Injustice 2 Release Date Is NOT March 28, Despite Rumors

Despite rumors to the contrary, the Injustice 2 release date that would see the sequel release for Injustice 2: Gods Among Us, is not going to be on March 28. While this would match up with a number of other anticipated triple-A games that are going to be released in the coming year, we still have no idea.

We’ve been getting a large number of sneak-peak videos that have shown off various characters and a number of other mechanics, including characters like Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle, and Supergirl. However, despite all of these videos, we haven’t gotten any sort of concrete Injustice 2 release date from NetherRealm Studios about when the game would come out.

Injustice 2 was first announced at the 2016 E3 conference, and in the months since then has gotten a large number of various preview videos as mentioned above, including NetherRealm taking some mechanics from Mortal Kombat X and putting them into the game, such as using bits of the scenery as weapons.

Previous titles from NetherRealm studios have arrived in April very often, including Mortal Kombat X, the 2011 Mortal Kombat, and more. However, if NetherRealm doesn’t hold true to this for the Injustice 2 release date (even though the first Injustice game also had an April release date), there’s no telling when the game will actually release. However, if it really is an April release date, then NetherRealm ruling out a March 28 release date makes more sense.

Whether or not the game ends up releasing in April remains to be seen, as NetherRealm hasn’t put out any sort of trailer or announcement of an official release date. In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait and see when exactly NetherRealm decides that the game is going to be released, but it will most likely be sometime early this year.
