Call Of Duty franchise saw somewhat of a decline in its popularity with Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare in 2016, mostly because of the overly awesome trailer for Battlefield 1. While the game is the best-selling console game of 2016 in the US, but on PC things are different as Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 has outsold it in 2016.
Steam just revealed the top 100 best selling games of 2016 and according to the Valve Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 has outsold the Infinite Warfare, as Black Ops 3 made it to the Gold category while the latter only made it to the bronze.
We have entered the 2017 and we can be sure that another Call Of Duty will launch this year and will be developed by Sledgehammer Games. While the next game in the franchise is months away from the reveal, but it seems that the devs have dropped a little hint of what it could be.
Michael Condrey recently shared a holiday card from Sledgehammer Games. The card featured M1911 Pistol which has raised our curiosity. The clue might be the M1911 Pistol itself as this weapon was used during World Ward 2 and Vietnam War and rumor has it that Sledgehammer is working on a Vietnam-based Call of Duty.
Also, it seems that Infinity Ward will soon be adding Skill Based Matchmaking to Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare. In an unexpected playlist update for the game on PlayStation 4, the developer accidently included a DEV Category of playlist testing to the public which revealed that the devs are working on Skill Based matchmaking.
