The new Minecraft update 1.38 and 1.39 have been released for various Playstation consoles, including Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita. The update adds a variety of new features such as the Elytra, a new tutorial world, support for a Fallout Mash Up pack, and more from the game’s original PC and Xbox versions.
Since Minecraft was originally a PC game, the console versions are a good ways behind it, though each new console update adds more PC content to them. Minecraft update 1.38 and 1.39 are the most recent that will be coming out for Playstation consoles.
In addition to the Elytra (a garment that allows players to glide so they don’t die from falls as much), a new tutorial world, and the Fallout Mash Up pack, the two updates also include new blocks, new mobs, new items, and an updated crafting interface. Boats can also now carry passengers and control differently, so players now use oars instead of pushing the stick in a certain direction.
Terrain generation has also been changed; the End will be changed when generating a new world, and has also been expanded; after killing the Ender Dragon, you can go through an Ender Portal and end up in an Ender City or an Ender Ship by using an Ender Pearl. You’ll be able to find unique items inside the city and ship including the Elytra and a Dragon head.
These various changes were already implemented in the PC and Xbox versions of the game, so the Playstation versions of the game are getting it somewhat late, though not by very much.
So, if your’e one of the many, many gamers that like to play Minecraft and own one of the Playstation versions of the game, feel free to jump into a new game and see how things have changed with Minecraft update 1.38 and 1.39.
