The upcoming desktop Intel Kaby Lake series is just around the corner and we have spotted the boxes of these Intel Kaby Lake CPUs. These are the upcoming packages of the Intel Kaby Lake Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs. Though you might feel that not much has changed, for some users the purchase can be very important and hence these boxes have a significance in their life. Whether you keep these boxes for sentimental value or for resale value is something up to you but there is no denying that there are people out there that will keep these boxes in mint condition.
Intel Kaby Lake CPU will run with motherboards that have the 200 series chipset and we have already talked about a few options that will be available in the market. It is safe to say that every motherboard maker will be pushing out a new line of motherboards for the Intel Kaby Lake series. Whether or not you choose to make the shift to Intel Kaby Lake is up to you but from what we have seen with the 7700K the difference is performance is not that significant and the CPU has heating issues.
With AMD Ryzen coming around the same time as Intel Kaby Lake it would be a wise move to refrain from making a hasty decision. If you are looking to upgrade your system or buying a new one then the wise move would be to wait for the release of Ryzen and compare the price to performance.
From what we have seen it is possible that AMD Ryzen will be great value for money. There will be other chips coming out from AMD as well if the Ryzen chip does not meet your budget.
