Square Enix has released the Final Fantasy XV patch 1.03 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that brings the new Game Plus mode and more.
Final Fantasy XV patch 1.03 weighs 3.74GB on Xbox One and 3.2GB on the PS4. According to the patch notes, this update brings the new Game Plus mode, various bug fixes and some additional free content.
- Warrior’s Fanfare – A scroll of sheet music containing a song of jubilation that provides additional AP for earning an A+ in Offense outside of training.
- Nixperience Band – A device that stops experience points from being tallied, preventing the party from leveling up for an added challenge.
- Carnival Passport – An adorably adorned ticket that whisks the bearer away to a fun-filled carnival for a limited time.
By starting the game in New Game Plus mode your original saves will be overwritten and the only things that will carry over are costumes and settings, weapons, levels and Ascension skills. The Engine Blade will go back to its original version and the Regalia returns to its stock state if you have upgraded to airship model.
Also, the Holiday Pack dlc for the game will be available tomorrow on December 22, 2016. There will be two Final Fantasy XV holiday DLC packs that will be available for the game namely: Holiday Pack and Holiday Pack +. The Holiday Pack will be available for free for everyone who owns the game and Holiday Pack + will only be available for those who own the season pass for the game.
Square Enix has also announced that it will be holding a 30th-anniversary event for the franchise. The event will take place next month and will be called Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary opening ceremony.
